The North Carolina General Assembly is considering two identical bills in the House and the Senate this session. The bills appropriate $26M toward the construction of Carolina Museum of the Marine and Civic Institute to be headquartered in Jacksonville, NC.

Both bills are now being considered in their respective appropriations committees. If passed, they will move into the State’s biennium budget process for the upcoming fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021.
