Position Descriptions

Administration

Our administrative volunteers keep the museum running smoothly. If you are interested in helping with office work, mailing, and marketing or fundraising, sign up as an admin volunteer.  

Curatorial

Are you interested in helping to preserve history? Curatorial volunteers work diligently with our collection and archives. These duties include, but are not limited to organizing the collection, digitalizing archives, and conducting historical research.

Operations/Facilities

Volunteers in Operations and Facilities support the museum in many ways. These volunteers bring a wide variety of skills in technology, project management, groundskeeping, facility management, electrical, retail experience, and so much more.

Special Events

Special Events volunteers are vital for the success of CMOTM’s events. Depending on the event, these volunteers greet guests, take photographs, and manage booths.

*Items with asterisks may require lifting of objects greater than 20lbs. **Docent training will begin in the fall of 2025. All docent forms will be held and applicants contacted several weeks before training begins.
This is simply your requested department to volunteer in. This does not mean you will be placed there. Volunteers are placed based on the needs of the museum
