LtGen Robert F. Hedelund, USMC (Ret) Joins the Board of Directors
Carolina Museum of the Marine is honored to welcome Lieutenant General Robert F. “Fuzzy” Hedelund, USMC (Ret), to its Board of Directors.
General Hedelund retired from the Marine Corps in 2021 after 39 years of distinguished service. His final assignment was as Commanding General, U.S. Marine Forces Command, Fleet Marine Force Atlantic, and U.S. Marine Forces Northern Command, where he oversaw global Marine Corps integration into naval expeditionary forces and homeland defense operations.

A proven leader in strategic planning, force readiness, and joint operations, General Hedelund also commanded II Marine Expeditionary Force, U.S. Marine Forces Korea, and 2d Marine Aircraft Wing. His leadership roles encompassed more than 44,000 Marines and Sailors deployed across the globe, where he championed operational excellence, team development, and innovation in complex environments.
Today, General Hedelund serves as President and CEO of H&H Advanced Solutions, Inc., providing executive coaching, leadership consulting, and advisory support to defense and technology organizations. He also sits on the Government Advisory Board for Fortem Technologies, a global leader in airspace security and counter-drone systems.
A native of Florida, General Hedelund holds a Master of Military Strategy and a Master of Military Studies from Air University and the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University.
